The winner of the 2025 ATS Women in Tunnelling Achievement Award is Kaylah-Faith MacIntosh.
The award was presented to Kaylah by Eliza Newton from Bouygues Construction Australia and Nadine Makin, Chair of the ATS Diversity Group at the hashtagATC2025 Gala Dinner on Wednesday 12 November.
Kaylah is widely respected within the industry for her technical expertise, collaborative leadership, and commitment to advancing industry knowledge. As Tunnelling Manager for John Holland, she has taken on some of Australia’s most complex projects, including the Kidston Pumped Hydro EPC, Brisbane Metro, NorthConnex, and the NewM5.
Her contributions extend well beyond project delivery. Kaylah has authored technical papers, delivered university lectures, and is a co-author of the textbook Digital Underground Engineering. She is also a passionate mentor, supporting emerging engineers and championing greater inclusivity across the industry.
Her dedication to safety, quality, and professional development continues to shape the future of tunnelling in Australia, earning her recognition as both a leader and an innovator.
